En mars dernier, on a concocté une mixtape spéciale Nowruz pour Radio Flouka, avec de la musique iranienne, kurde, ouzbèke, turkmène, afghane.
En la préparant, on a réalisé qu’on avait surtout choisi des morceaux interprétés par de grandes chanteuses de la région – pour cette nouvelle année, on ne peut qu’espérer un monde de la musique plus inclusif, et toujours plus de découvertes musicales d’Asie du Sud Ouest et d’Afrique du Nord.

As this strange year is finally coming to an end for everyone celebrating Nowruz worldwide, we’ll be embracing the spring season with music.
We did a special mixtape with songs from Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kurdistan. While preparing it, we realised we mostly included tracks by some of the amazing female singers of the region – here’s to another year of great music from South West Asia and North Africa, and to a more inclusive music world.
